Teaching Right and Wrong

As mentioned in a previous post, God has established what is right and what is wrong in the Bible.  The Bible is the authority on morality. God intends His Word to be used as the standard from which laws are based, morality is established, and right and wrong is taught.  Part of satan’s scheme of derision and denigration toward God, and to pull people away from God’s truths, includes an effort to convince people that there is no right and wrong, and that there is no morality, only what you yourself establish as right and wrong.  Situation ethics (right and wrong can change depending on the situation) is a similar scheme of his, and our society has bought into these schemes “hook, line, and sinker”.

Sound Christian schools need to recognize these schemes of the devil, and prepare students to defend against them.

Sound Christian schools need to firmly believe and teach that there IS right and wrong, there IS a basis of morality, and it MUST come from God and His Word.  Recall in a previous post the passages that proclaim the Bible as perfect, holy, right, and good. When  God’s laws are taught to children, they are used by the Holy Spirit to “write” them on their hearts, their minds, and their consciences, so with His help, they can recall God’s truths when the enemy attacks what is right and wrong, to the glory of Jesus Christ. (John 14:26)

A sound Christian school will, with the help of the Holy Spirit, write God’s laws on their students’ hearts, minds, and consciences.
